Ecopreneurship is being promoted by identifying technologies, which add value to the local resources and support the existing farming systems. It refers to technical, managerial and marketing capacities of the rural poor to organize themselves as entrepreneurs, produce materials goods, strengthen secure and strengthen the livelihood for sustainable development. It helps to generate ECOJOBS and strengthen the skills of rural women and men and helps to promote multiple livelihood opportunities. Ecojobs can be defined as employment opportunities in the fields, which use the natural resources efficiently and effectively with out creating an environmental instability. The crucial role in promoting technology based rural entrepreneurship need the approach of demystification, participatory research and development and networking.
Since it is agriculturally vibrant region enterprises have been identified and promoted that support sustainable and good farming practices and value add to the local resources.
